Crip Resistance: Navigating Graduate School as a Disabled Graduate Student

Gabriella Wilson-Kopko, Townson University

The following webtext is designed so that each reader can choose a reading path based on their needs. Above, I describe two reading paths: (1) the academic track and (2) the crip resource track. While the crip resource track is designed specifically for graduate students, it is useful for all readers.

At the top of the page, you will find navigation tabs labeled “Home,” “Academic Track,” “Crip Resource Track,” and “Site Map.” Hovering your cursor over these tabs displays a list of links to each page, arranged in the order they should be viewed for that particular track. The site map contains links to all pages in the webtext.

At the bottom of each page, you will find three buttons labeled “Academic track,” “Crip resource track,” and “Chronological.” The reading path you choose will determine which button you should click as you move through the text. Clicking the button at the bottom of the page will take you to the next page of that track. If you are unsure whether you have missed a page, review the top navigation tabs for the page order for each track. Additionally, buttons at the bottom of each page display the page number for each track. Readers who want to view the entire webtext are encouraged to use the “Chronological” button to navigate.
